BP Snap collects nothing.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
BP Snap helps you log blood pressure readings by photographing the screen of your own blood pressure monitor. It is designed to keep your data on your iPhone.
What BP Snap collects
Nothing. BP Snap has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash-reporting service, and it makes no network connections. We (the developer) never receive your photos, readings or any other information.
Photos
Photos you take or choose in BP Snap are processed only on your iPhone to read the numbers, and are kept in memory only until you save or cancel. They are never stored, never added to your photo library, and never sent anywhere.
Health data
When you confirm a reading, BP Snap saves it to Apple Health on your iPhone: systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and pulse as heart rate. BP Snap reads your recent blood pressure readings from Health only to show your last readings and to warn you when a new value looks very different from your recent ones. BP Snap does not keep its own copy of your readings.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with third parties, and never stored in iCloud by BP Snap (Apple Health handles its own storage and syncing under your control). You can change BP Snap's Health access at any time in the Health app (profile picture › Apps › BP Snap) or in the Settings app.
On-device AI
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, BP Snap can use Apple's on-device language model to decide which number on the display is which. This runs entirely on your iPhone; nothing is sent to Apple or anyone else.
Reminders
If you turn on the daily reminder, BP Snap schedules a local notification on your iPhone. No server is involved.
Settings
Your preferences (reading method, reminder time) are stored on your iPhone only.
Children
BP Snap is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.
